Amazing Grace

-1-

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

-2-

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believed.

-3-

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

-4-

How sweet the name of Jesus sounds,
In a believer's ear;
It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds
And drives away his fear.

-5-

When we've been there a thousand years,
bright shining as the sun;
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
then when we've first begun.

-6-

Must Jesus bear the cross alone
And all the world go free?
No, there's a cross for ev'ryone;
And there's a cross for me.

***Scripture***

    James 4:6 (KJV): But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

    2Corinthians 12:9 (KJV): And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

    Psalm 34:19 (NKJV): Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

    Philemon 1:25 (KJV): The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

    Psalm 55:22 (NKJV): Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
